I have a railking GG-1 i bought here on forum and it is one of the old ps2 engines from around 2000 or 2001. Has there been a new sound set out since then? If so what engine is it in?
Thanks, Eric |

Even if you find it, it most likely had a 8.4 volt system, I don't think you can upgrade any sound file unless it is 3.3 volt variety? Please advise if my understanding of the ability of downloading/uploading sound files is correct.

Hi guys,
Dave your understanding is correct. Eric, your engine is one of the earliest PS2 engines with a 5 volt electronics package (which uses the 8.4 volt battery). Any newer sound file would be compatible only with the newer 3 volt electronics. However, MTH can convert the files from one type to another. If you find a specific file you like that is a 3 volt file, call MTH service and ask them to convert the file type. They can't always do it, but sometimes you'll catch them when they have time to do it. They can then e-mail you the file. You might also ask an authorized service center to request the file. They tend to get more prompt response from the service department. Dave |
