FYI - I stumbled on this while browsing for DCS info...

It looks like MTH has updated the DCS Operator's Manual with version 4 information/instructions and placed it on thier PS2 site.
The new DCS Operator's Manual cover page shows "Fifth Edition".
Here's the LINK to the web page that lists sections of this manual.

Note the new softkey functions. I believe SPW (Proto-whistle sound) is the quilling whistle feature, FSW is the new smoking whistle feature, and FPR is the new pressure relief feature.

I wonder when engines with these features will start to appear?

I'll ask tomorrow while I am there for Day 2 of training. I did see the new loader program in action today that the beta testers are working the bugs out of. Really cool and it is much more friendly with USB to serial!

That's good news. I will say that even though the upgrading procedures seem a bit archaic, I did not have any problems upgrading my TIU and remotes. Dave's tutorial was very helpful.

If you can, ask them when the PS2 upgrade boards will be in stock.

Thanks

Sorry LionelBill just saw your post and am back home now. I did ask about the new commands and was advised that it should be available on Premier Steam arriving later this year but couldn't get any more specific then that. Sorry. Oh the new HO does have the quilling whistle I was told.
