Beautiful!

My first visit to the prototype South Hills Jct. was in November, 1968,
the day after the election. In my memory, it looked just like the model.
Wish I could do that kind of work.

I saw this fine module in person at the last Villanova meet and it was truly amazing! I sat there, observing it for almost an hour in awe. A real inspiration.

Bob Dietrich's e-mail is listed in the link below. He is the current President of the East Penn Traction Club.

I sure hope for the sake of the young generation of train modelers, that he writes a book about this much admired South Hills Junction model layout, detailing some of the techniques used. It would be a great asset for all model railroaders.

I hope that he would be agreeable to answering your question about the trees.
