Hi:
I am using TMCC with the Powermaster to control conventional trains.
I have the #7 World's Fair set.
I push the appropriate button/horn combinations and have successfully gone into station stop learn mode. It works as written in the manual. I have programmed the stops and then gone out of learn mode. I then brought the engine to the first stop and hit the Dir button to stop it. I hit the bell / horn/ horn and the bell rings continuously. When I hit the Dir button again,, the engine goes in reverse. I have tried this many times. What am I doing wrong?

Ed

Didn't state problem!!! Can't get the train to run the station stops that I programmed. Frown

you need to develop the bell-pause-horn-horn rhythm method using the conventional transformer buttons
it takes some practice to get the pause between the bell button and the first horn press

Use 1/2 second presses with 1/2 second pauses in between.

Thank you gentlemen:
I seem to have gotten the timing OK for the programming part. I just can't seem to get it right to begin the auto stop sequence that I put in.
I must have tried about 20 times. Here's what I'm doing. I bring the car to the spot on the track where the first stop was programmed in, and hit the dir button to stop it. I then hit the Bell Horn Horn sequence. Each time I do that the bell stays on. There is no movement, or sound from the car other than the bell. If I hit the dir button again it proceeds in reverse. If I hit the Bell button, the bell will silence. I guess I'll just keep trying.
Thanks again.

Ed,
once you bring the R-36 to a stop at the desired location, [either with the direction button or cycling the throttle]...just tap the "bell" button...if the bell sounds, you are holding it down too long. look at the lights inside the lead unit, with just the right "tap" the lights will flicker and the bell won't sound...so it's "[bell]tap"...pause..."horn" "horn"...if you did the sequence correctly the train will say "auto-mode"...then hit the direction button...if the train does not say "auto-mode" and you hit the direction button the train will cycle into reverse, which is normal. so you would need to try again...it took me awhile to get it right with my powerpacks, and each power pack's "bell" and "horn" button may differ in sensitivity.
