Looks like you're off to a good start, PE.
Please keep showing us your progress. Is that
the Dept. 56 subway entrance? even though I'm
leaning mostly to streetcars for the time being,
those subway entrances look good, and suggest that
there's a subway below. I'm sure I'll use some on
my little layout.

Pelham,

You should know that I am happy to see the pics of your layout and the great progress you are making. Like I said I got my first toy train at Target and I enjoy looking at it once the day is over. I will take a set for my brother when I see him next.

Keep up the great work.

Looks good Pelham. If you upload a large picture to Flickr, click on "All Sizes" and choose one of the smaller sizes like Medium - whichever is smaller than 800px width. The copy that URL into the image icon here.

Thanks guys for the compliments and encouragement. So far its in the experimental stage (Okay, to be honest, i just wanted to be able to run some trains while I figure this out) I learned a few things so far, such as the need to break up sight lines so you dont constantly see the trains. I will most likely have to get a few peices of 3x8 plywood to leave room for an EL and buildings, as well as figure out how to build a platform to go over the tracks to create a subway. And i gotta play with posting pics. Of course, I will keep you guys up to date, and thanks again for the comments.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents...it looks really good. I especially like the subway station/street scene. The way you have it set up is really nice.
