What a great idea! Of course, the CTA lines I'd like to ride don't exist anymore...

I have my reservations in for the IRT trip on 8/2. I hope they give us chances to get off and get ahead of the train to get pictures. They used to do that on the MOD trips, but the last couple of these types of trips I have been on they didn't give us those opportunities.

Yeah, I guess we did get that one, but the MOD trips used to give us a list of stops. We'd get off, jump on a road train to get ahead and photo the train coming into the station - quite a few times giving us many photo ops.

The R1 trip to Coney Island was nice, the weather was good, the food was good, the trip was good. These were taken with the phone, not the best. This was the trip:

07/13----

Nostalgia Train leaves Coney Island Yard at 0900hrs

Proceed lite via the D West End and Q Bway Routes to track A4 at 57th St

Guests board the train at 57th St

The Nostalgia Special begins; leaving 57th St, travel via the R Line to Queens Plaza and relay on D5 n/o of the station

Leaving QP, operate to Stillwell Ave via G Crosstown Route

Options at Stillwell: 1) Take Lunch 2) Take an additional ride to 36th St-4th Av via the N Sea Beach Route. Return trip to Stillwell will be on the West End (D) Line

Train lays up to Stillwell Yard after the additional trip to 36th St is complete

1600hrs----

Pick up guests at Stillwell and travel via the Brighton (Q) Line

Make a station stop at DeKalb Av to discharge passengers

Continue on the Q Route to 57th St where the trip will end

The Special will operate lite via the Q and D Lines to Coney Island Yard to lay up
