I WHEN I WAS ON MY FIRST TOUR IN THE NAVY, I WAS STATIONED IN VA AND RODE BACK EVERY WEEKEND THAT THE SHIP WAS IN OUR HOMEPORT OF NORFOLK VA. WE DROVE DOWN 13 NORTH AND WOULD ALL GET OFF AT PORT AUTHORITY AND GO OUR SEPARATE WAYS. I WOULD TAKE THE R TRAIN FROM 42ND ST TO PROSPECT AVE IN BKLYN. THE YEARS WERE 1978 TO 1981. WHAT TRAIN WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN ANTHONYM

Im assuming from pictures I have, the car assignments for the (RR) Line in the Late 70's/Early 80's was mainly R-27/30's,maybe some R-32's and R-46'S as well. Perhaps one of those types was the type of train you rode on...I could be wrong though.

Exp train to Gladstone making stops at South Orange, Maplewood, Summit then all stops to Gladstone
