A new version of this is currently in production staring Denzel Washington and is filming in Astoria. They recently bought some MTH sets from us.

The movie will be starring Denzel as the Walter Mathau character from the original, John Travolta is playing the Robert Shaw character and James Gandolfini will be playing the mayor. It is being directed by Tony Scott. I met with Tony and an associate producer because they were thinking of filming a scene at our club. I think the plans may have changed but will keep you updated if they do.

NYCTA uses a fare card, called a "Metro Card", for now. I hear they are in development of a new fare collection system. With the metro cards, they haven't run a 'money train' for a few years.. Mostly armored trucks do the collections now..

The Taking of the Pelham 123 finished production this past weekend. This one will be the best of the three. Many surprises which I care not to disclose It will be in movie houses July 2009.
