Hello all,
This is only in the early gauging interest stage, but if BMT D-Types were to be produced in resin (a la the PATH cars), who would be interested? And if so, how many units each? Figure the units would require providing your own power, but would include bodies, trucks, floor. Not sure of the price range, which would be determined by the number of units ordered. Manufacture would be done by one of the available resin subway model companies. What say you? This message has been edited. Last edited by: westendlocal, |

Definitely count me in for a set of D's. (the prototype ran in three's, I believe). However, I would prefer a complete car, finished or unfinished, not just a body shell. I'd be willing to consider the SIRT cars as well.
If I remember correctly, when MTH originally started producing subway sets for the masses, folks like Quentin at Q-Car and Joel at MTS backed off production on O-scale rapid transit cars. IMO, now may be the time for a resurgence, so to speak, or at least a re-evaluation of potential releases by these and other companies like Island Modelworks, GHB, etc. Elliot |

I would definitely take D types but there aren't any sets alreay produced that these would easily mount on The Path cars mount on the chicago 3200's I would be afraid that those resin bodies would never find a frame

count me in on a few D types and a sirt car also. I worked on the SIRT for 10 years. I knew those cars in and out as well as the D types which had the same propulsion system

I would love em, butnot sure I'd want to spend as much if not more for a set of cars that might be less detailed or capable than an MTH set with PS2.
