OK, just a couple sloppy pics from my cel to whet the appetites. Smile

I promise I'll try and get good pics up later tonight. Just no way for me to get the pics out of my real camera here at work since my laptop is home.

They look absolutely awesome! Big Grin I love how the roof details are correct for each model. Not just a quick repaint of the doors! Smile The finish is really nice. I don't see any green tint to them like I saw at York. The refelctive nature of them will pick up the temperature of the lighting they are under...just as the real ones would. So I would expect them to have a yellowish look under incandescent lighting and a bluish tint under cool flourescents.

I know the pics are lousy, but I'll get some good ones up as soon as I can.

Why??? They really look great! No roof vent issues like the 40s. I can't wait to see them lit up. Just wish I had a place to actually run them.

These really are beautiful. Didn't pull out the power cars, but I did take some more pics of each dummy. I also lit each up on the bar. Here are some more pics...

More R11 Pics here:

MTH R11 Pics

The only minor complaint I can come up with so far is that the Queens Plaza destination sign on one of the dummies is a little crooked, although I don't think it shows real well in the pic. The bottom left corner of the sign is pushed in a bit.

Stunning pics! Thanks for wetting our appetities. Did they get the interior seating right on the R-34 (non wicker seats, etc.)? Mine are waiting for pickup. If you need a place to run yours, feel free to stop by here in Broward any free weekend!

Pel, also consider a mixed consist of R-34's with the blue door R-32's. Sweet.

well, I only have the standards. I would run them as two trains on the same route, once I get something set up, for now, its a loop on the floor of the spaere bedroom, with all the dust that entails. Eventually want a 2 track El type setup, for starters.

EXCELLENT! Thanks for the interior pics, Chris. I can't wait to pick mine up. MTH has definitely improved on their interior detaing over the years. But hey, no STRAPS like in the R-40's? Its good to see that you've set up a test loop. How do they run?

Once I swapped out the crappy Lionel starter set transformer for an MTH Z-750 they seem to run pretty good - even on that small loop. I put together a little video here:

Nice Pictures chris, very well done like the video in your other post. The 11's and 34's came out absolutely beautiful. Another case of MTH Rasing the Bar. I ordered a six car set of each. Hopefully I'll have them by this week.

Question: Did the 1 & 3 actully run those lines back in the day? Or is the numbering on the car wrong?

The numbering was right for the time. All BMT cars had "numbered" routes prior to the early '60s. I believe the 1 is now a combination of the Q and D after being split into the Q, QT, QB etc.

The 3 became the TT now the B I think. I bet Zach could give better details. I've always been an IRT guy. Wink
