So, running my M7s was a complete failure, and came very close to being afraid that running my R11s would be too. I had the M7 RTR loop and transformer set-up but of course couldn't run the M7 since one of the wheels fell of when I took it out of the box Eek (Nice quality Lionel! Mad ) So, I picked the R11 and got it unpacked and all lubed up. Put the powered car on the track and ran it for a couple loops. Sweet. Big Grin Added one car at a time, and all seemed well until I added the tail car. Tried to run the train, and it moved for a couple seconds and popped itself into neutral. Confused Pulled the tail car off and re-tested and all seemed well. Now, I figure the tail car has a short or something. Tried a few more times with the same result. Frown

Something just didn't seem right. I started to question the Lionel RTR power supply. Luckily I had an extra Z-750 laying around so I grabbed it and re-wired the loop for it. Perfection! Big Grin The Lionel transformer just couldn't handle the simple 4 car set from MTH! Here's a video I slapped together - not my best work, but should give you a good feel for the set. Smile

Superb sounds. They sound very "crisp" and not rattly like some of the earlier models. I'm also glad they didn't forget the squealing brake noise like they did on the R-62 model. Hook up your DCS and set the coupler slack sound on, Chris. It works great on the subway sets. Thanks for posting this. Your killing me! Hopefully, I'll be able to pick my sets up this week.

Great video Chris. Now if Steve (SIRT) could start make some on his layout, that could be pretty cool.

Thanks guys. I'll try and slap something together for the 34s so you can at least hear all the station announcements. Wife was a little ticked since I spent all day yesterday setting that up, shooting, editing and uploading it. Red Face Guess I'll have to pay her extra attention later. Smile

I don't remember Chris. Maybe. It's the Fast Track loop that came with the Lionel M7 set that I still can't run. Maybe someone else knows what the radius was of that track.

then more than likely its 036 fast track. I dont think it comes smaller, and im sure Lionel would only put the minimum necessary to run a set in the box
