The first one seemed better. that said, I'll probably get it for "Archival reasons" Just wish MTH would put out the R142 already. would be a perfect tie in

The new version was just o.k., for what it is was worth...i still like the original version better.

you cant re-touch classics.they are better off left alone.

Oh man, do I agree with Zach!!! Just got to see this over the weekend, and the only good news was, we only paid a dollar (OK, $1.07 including tax) from the DVD Express machine at our local A&P.

Too many quick-camera shots and angles, too little key character development, and as Zack points out, WAY too much gratuitous cursing. BIG disappointment.

But the subway stuff was pretty good, I gotta admit (although they took significant license with which trains went where).

My advice: skip it.

Steve, I totally agree with you. I never saw it in the theater but waited for Netflix to finally get it. What a waste! I'll take the original any day!
