Still not having any success after following the directions for
posting photo URLs, so I'll have to continue doing it the old-fashioned way, until my neighbor's 8 year old can come over and show me. Here are some photos of the Pageant of Trolleys at the Shore Line Trolley Museum. Enjoy, Lee http://naphotos.nerail.org/sho...page=1&key=ebtmikado |

Lee,
Thanks for posting these great photos. You take nice pics. I like this one in particular: http://naphotos.nerail.org/sho...page=4&key=ebtmikado It won't be long before I can head out seriously to some of those train shows in the vicinity and beyond, slowly but surely.... With appreciation for sharing your photos, Prairie |

Lee, I am sorry to hear about your heart surgery. However you are making good progress, case in point, you were able to head out again very quickly (seems to me that open heart surgery is quite something to go through). You are doing well!! I love being outside myself, just did a 4 hour walk at the Jersey shore. I either like an early morning walk or a 4 p.m. walk until dusk, so that I can catch the cool breezes. Not too much sun at those times also. I look forward to going to the train museum in CT next summer. CT is a beautiful state! It's good to know an OGR member who likes trolleys, like I do. I will find some good trolley-related posts for you. Keep posting your trolley photos! Best wishes for a full recovery!!!! Prairie |

Sorry to hear about your having surgery, Lee, but it sounds like you're bouncing back strongly! I once had surgery that confined me to my home for better than 2 months. The ability to go outside and get around a bit is truly invigorating! Take care of yourself! Is it real? Do you see it, too? We all see it. That don't make it real. |

Sorry to hear of your health problems Lee - but looks like you are coming around nicely!
Sorry I missed you Saturday. Would have been nice to put a face to the name. From the looks of this picture you took... ...and this one I took... ...one look at the lighting I would have to guess you were there for the 12:30 runs while I didn't make it until the 2:30 runs. You had better light, I just couldn't get up there that early. Actually, I probably could have made it, but my wife's conference was canceled so I had to wait for her to get ready so she could join me. Here's a few more from a fun day... A peak at R17 6688 More here if you're interested... Pageant of Trolleys Check out the Subway Section here at OGR! Chris C. Shaffer TCA 08-62434 http://www.trainweb.org/subway/index.htm |

Thanks, guys.
Yes, I'm very lucky....I live 16 miles from Branford, where I volunteer operating cars and helping out in the signal dept.. and 13 miles from Essex, where, since my retirement, I'm employed as a trainman a few days a week. Couldn't ask for a better retirement! It'll be about 5 or 6 more weeks before I can go back to being on the cars and trains, according to the doctor today. Can't wait! Chris, you got some good shots in the afternoon light. You're right, I was at the 11:30 parade. Maybe one of these times, we'll run into each other. Smell that ozone, and hear those line switches splocking! Lee |

Hey Chris;
Since you're also a trolley fan, here's a link to the Baltimore Streetcar Museum that you can check out the next time you're down this way. Chuck TCA, MTHRRC, Atlas Golden Spike Club (Charter Member), Weaver Collectors Station |
