I have the chance to buy some subway sets, the choice of 3 for 1000, any info on going rates for these or which ones are more desirable would help. Here they are
30-2122 1974 d train
30-2162 world trade center e train
30-2392 5 train redbird
30-2211

all trains are in boxes and are excellent

$1000 would probably be too high, unless you definitely can get that 30-2211 - and make sure it is the -1 PS2 version of the R17 Silver with blue stripe. Then I would go ahead with the Cardinal Red R17 and if you had to pick a 3rd I guess get the R42 WTC set. It's not really worth much, but some people like the fact it has the WTC signage.

there is a world trade center set on ebay for 750.00. Is this a ridiculous price?

Things change fast, and these were all much higher at one time and may return there, but right now I would guess...

30-2122 1974 d train - $250-$350
30-2162 world trade center e train $350-$450
30-2392 5 train redbird $325-$425
30-2211 $500-$600

You may at times find even better deals on some of these, while occasionally one may sell for quite a bit more. All depends on who's trying to buy, who's doing the selling, and at what time.
