All I know is the Blue Line has Pentagraph Bombardier cars that
were four years late. They are beautiful though. So, I guess it was worth the wait. |

Didn't MTH make a PCC trolley model of Boston's Green Line?
I believe that a prototypical scale model of any of the other Boston (Blue, Orange or Red Line) or a Philadelphia (Broad or Market Street) Subway would be somewhat different from any of the existing models that already have been made of the past or present Chicago or New York Subways. Perhaps MTH could not get the license or thinks there isn't enough demand for these. |

Yeah, but the MTH PCC is way too short to look like a real one. CORRECTION.... Bill Culliton just informed me that the MTH PCC is the correct length for that car type, but the body rides too high on the trucks, making it appear to be too short. Lee This message has been edited. That would be my observation as well. The MTH cars (I have several of them) do ride a bit too high, which gives the illusion of them being shorter than they actually are. Very smooth runners, though, and the sounds and station stop features in the PS2 models are really very nice. Allan Miller, Editor-In-Chief O Gauge Railroading magazine |

I believe Marty stated that he had a conversation with Mike W about making some Boston Transit equipement. The conversation was "promising" from what I remember.

I hope so I have been waiting patiently. I would take any line at this point but I would prefer the red line. Chris TCA 03-55643 |

Trainman-
Could be a long wait. Here are some options: Saint Petersburg makes almost every PCC ever used in Boston, MTA and MBTA. Pricey, but unsurpassed quality and can be motorized. Monitor-roof Corgi PCCs for Pittsburgh and Toronto can be modified and painted in either MTA or MBTA liveries. Way cheaper, good appearance, and can also be motorized. Rapid transit more of a stretch. Saint Petersburg Cleveland rapid kits can be modified and painted to resemble MTA East Boston/ MBTA Blue Line cars. If you want Red Line, you might want to kit bash the Atlas Comet commuter car. Takes a little effort, but looks pretty close. Good luck! |

Excuse me but doesn't Boston T still use PCC's on the Red line... from Ashmont to Mattapan?
