Great photo, Lee! It almost looks as if the scene was posed rather than being a chance meeting of the cars at the intersection.

It does look almost posed.
But Peter is out there daily, shooting MUNI scenes,
as you can see by his thousands of other photos.

I think he just lucked out. And if you stopped those
2 Powell Street cars on the flat intersection, you'd
have to push them to get them started. The Powell
Street rope is beneath the California Street rope.
