I have had mine on order for over a year with Treasured Toys here in New Hampshire.
George Barsky of GHB International on one of the Traction boards listed one available in a few days for $45 and 7 bucks shipping.
I am interested since I lived in Norwalk Connecticut and that city used Connco Birneys till bustitution in 1935.When we moved there early in the 1960s some people still called a part of East Norwalk "Hanford Switch" which was used on the old trolley line.

These have been delivered and critiqued by knowledgeable trolley fans.Major points seem to be the width of the white stripe below the side windows and the window guards. Nothing that should affect most of the people on this board who would consider these models.

Bill, Is the $61.00 price you noted powered or unpowered. I might spring for one if it is powered.

I think they are available for less than the 61 bucks that was originally given. That is for the body only. Cheapest power truck seems to be from Current Line for an additional 70 bucks.Q Car would run an additional 30 or so.

In latest catalog Historic Rail still has the Chicago version advertised for about 15 bucks I have stripped and repainted some of those for obscure lines in
New Yorks Southern Tier. Tony Tieuli authored a great series on installing 7 different power trucks in Trolley Talk .About issue 285 or so.

For the Western New York and Pennsylvania car I need a rear door. My present thinking is to cut off the rear platform side window with a cutoff wheel in the Dremel and replace with a door from the Current Line Bag of Birney.

Connecticut Company used Birneys in the town to the west of you. Norwalk had them on lines down to Dorlons Shore House and up to Winnipauk. However when I tried to get the numbers used in Norwalk the street car book with Waddhams as coauthor does not assign any to Norwalk.Maybe the cars were assigned to Stamford or Bridgeport.I'll have to dig around and see if I can find a Shoreliner on Norwalks streetcars.
