thanks guys. The sepia toned pic is my 6 train, which as a rather convoluted story. I knew about the MTH sets, and mentioned that I wanted one around my family. My mother decided to tell my brother to get it, and he somehow decided that the best one to get was a silver/blue striped one. It started as a #5 with Loco sounds, with #6 decals added on, one of which was my home stop at 138st/3rd Ave and my iniials. shortly after getting it for my birthday, I found a powered PS2 R17 on Ebay. by Christmas, I had a Grafitti R17 with PS2. Last summer, the car blew, and after months of deciding what to do, I got my hands on an R26 set... Now I have an R26 set with PS2, and what i call my R76 - my R17 grafitti train with a PS2 R26 chassis.
My brother snapped some pics of my train when it was run for Christmas, and made this one in photoshop. He used it on his Myspace page, and when I first saw it, I thought it was a shot of a REAL TRAIN!! Don't laugh: he got a LOT ofrequests as to where he found it, and many were surprised it was actually a model!!

Good shots of Chicago and of your test section.

Here's some more of my test L: http://www.flickr.com/photos/1...s/72157621813949147/

The best way to figure this out is to build some samples and learn from one's mistakes.

How far south did you go on the Green (Englewood/Jackson Pk) line? It does get a little dicey down there at times.

I was staying at the Palmer House, so i took it as far south as garfield Park, (wanted to see the Uboat) also took the Pink line out to Cermak, and the red line to Wrigley field. also rode the Pink line around the loop. Definitely want to go back again.
