The 20-2934-1 (blue doors) sets have arrived in stores (Willis Hobbies has received their's). What's interesting is that on the boxes they are listed as R-34's, not R-11's.

That aside, the plated finish is beautiful. Also, except for the powered car's one coil coupler, all the cars are close coupled (much better than the recent R-40's).

I noticed MTH fixed it on their website and e-mail update as well. The all silver is the R-11 but the overhauled cars with blue doors wer re-classified by NYCT as R34s.

Wonder if Charlie got mine yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get both sets plus thier add-ons at the same time. It's a bit of a trek for me to get out to LI.

Got my R34 blue doors today, never did get to see what they look like. Still haven't because I just got home and won't be able to get to train things for a few hours. I got the call around 10:30 this morning that they were in, dashed across town during the lunch hour, snatched 'em up and rushed back to work. Sure wish I had a good camera on hand for the eye-ballers out there, but soon, soon... Big Grin

Made the 4+ hour pilgrimage (should have been about 2 round trip, but thanks to summer Friday traffic it was more than twice as long) to Nassau Hobbies to pick up my R11s and R34s. Got both 4 car sets, plus the add-ons for the 11s. R34 add-ons aren't in yet. At work now, so haven't had a chance to open them yet either, but will try to get pics up later tonight, or tomorrow morning.
