Boston Commuter Rail, more properly called MCRA, but often referred to as MBTA (which is actually the subway system), runs trains up my way.

Lately they are usually headed by F40PH engines and most of the cars are the Comet types. Some of the consists have a bi-level or two (not sure of the manufacturer).

Anyway, I like the purple stripe paint scheme.

Driving through town today, I noticed a change. They've added "WiFi" to the train I saw, and part of the deal seems to be some paint advertizing that feature.

Over the doors, they've painted an orange (yuck) block with white letters saying "WiFi" and "VerizonAT&T".

I think it looks awful.

I prefer the "as delivered" scheme on the Atlas O Comet Cars.

The logo may look ugly but the wi-fi service is worth it/works decently well for the mbta....but our system if far off from being as frequent or as on time as metro north....

Add some blue and you have NJT .....

I didn't get to ride MCRA during my last trip to Boston, but the MBTA sure got a lot of time. Blue line, orange line and green line were awesome.

However the Downeaster was a pretty nice trip.
