Got bit by the On30 bug and just bought a B-mann shay (with DCC and sound) What a sweet little engine. I want to do a logging line on a mountain on my 3 rail layout. I also got some ME On30 track. Can anybody tell me what grades and curves it will negotiate.

I think it will go around 12" radius curves or something ridiculous like that. Do you have any cars yet?

Gary,

Mine has no problem with an 18" radius and Michael is probably right in his estimate of a smaller radius. Mine is handling six cars with logs up a 4% grade with no problem.

Yeah, I got a bunch of cars from Micro-Mark. Seems like they're half price. It cost $12 for shipping for 7 cars but that's not bad because some cars on Ebay that went for about the same price they wanted up to $12 just to ship 1 car!
