Michale,
I guess I am out of the loop on BLI. Are they having law problems or trouble getting products made?

According to the Bachmann website, they won't give a final release date (it has been moved up, in printed lit, to Spring 2009) for the 4-6-0. Having talked to a few "insiders", the guess is probably around the time of the Narrow Gauge Convention (perhaps a little earlier), so ... September.

Do you guys mean the AMC C-16? BLI has their C-16 already released for many years, or did I miss something? As for AMS and their C-16, they have always underestimated their delivery times (usually by about 18 months). The quality of work has been so good that it was worth waiting for. I understand the C-16 will be DCC ready which is great relief.

Sort of. I believe it was that their builder was using some of MTH's proprietary stuff...or something like that. I think some of the stuff destined for BLI went to MTH as part of the settlement. I don't know all the details...but I don't think BLI had done anything wrong...just their partner had. There website was months out of date for a while...as if they'd ceased to exist...but they've updated it recently. I view the On30 2-8-0s as parts...and I'd like to use some of their HO 4-6-2s and 2-8-2s chassis to build some NKP K-1s, H-5s, and H-6s...but that is neither O scale nor narrow gauge Razz

BLI had a second run which hasn't come out. They made some changes...I think it is plain DC w/sound now...just the Bumble Bee and Christmas.

I drool at the mention/sight of the AMS 2-8-0...I probably ought to get the 4-4-0 if I can scrape up the money, but that 2-8-0 is Eek

Dear all,

I agree with Al, this has been a most informative and friendly forum and I hope that it continues and we all participate for a long time. Although I have never met Al, face-to-face, I feel that he is a close and valuable friend, as are all of you on this forum. Heck, in the next OGR, I have an article on how to build a D&RGW coal shed ... that shed, now residing on Al's layout.
