Wow. The guy doing the Lionel promo is John Cameron Swayze. He was a newsman in the New York area in the 50s & 60s. After that, he did commercials for Timex watches. He was noted for the phrase "Timex-takes a licking and keeps on ticking."
And that looks like Lionel Super O track in the video.

Doesn't everybody have better copies of these at home on DVD by now? They're on TM's "Lionel the Movie" series.
