First, Thank You MTH for making the Liberty Liners. I have received mine but can not run them until 12/26/09. They look excellent and do the most important thing for me, remind me of younger, simpler years that bring a smile to my face.

But what would really make me smile would be a model of the Brill Bullets or Stafford cars that took me to see Peter Gabriel or Bill Bruford or so many others at the Tower Theater in the late 1970's.

Some Market Street EL cars or Reading Silverliners would only add to the joy!

Can any other forum members also let MTH know via this thread they have interest in these worthy projects.

Thanks!

I think Silver Liners would be great! I grew up riding them into the Terminal from Melrose Park with my Mom when I was off from School. We road the Lansdale Local (Now the R5). Had the same conductor Argent (Choo Choo) Brooks. I still have the Reading Tie Tac he gave me. He even introduced me to Robin Roberts (Phillie's Whiz Kids Pitcher) one day. He tapped me on the shoulder and said "Go up to that guy and ask for his autograph.". I have great memories of the train and all it offered and provided.

That Train she's a special streamline ya know, and she's fast. That trains so fast, the hobo's don't mess with that train. They just stand by the track with their hat in their hand. -- Tom Rush, The Panama Limited

You do know that is because they were converted to outside third rail, right?

Two?

Wikipedia: "The Electroliners were a pair of electric passenger train sets operated by the Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad, which ran between Chicago, Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These streamlined electric multiple unit interurban trains were built by St. Louis Car Company in 1941. Each train set carried two numbers, 801-802 and 803-804. Although the Electroliners were equipped with retractable couplers, the couplers were only used for towing purposes."
