I caught and watched this show called Mary Queen of Shops on BBC AMerica. IF you are a store owner/employee, you should watch this series!

http://www.bbcamerica.com/cont...384/did-you-know.jsp

While the show focuses on the cut-throat Fashion retail business, the principles are the same for many businesses to notch it up - including the Local Hobby Shop! Decluttered Stores, Unique Products, Well Lit Stores, Nice Displays, helpful employees... the list of enhancements are literally broadcasted to you. It's what many of us Customers have been screaming on this forum for years! Wink

Don't forget the Goon Show on the BBC! When I was a younger kid I listened every Tuesday night on my dad's 32 tube Midwest.

I just finished watching the entire series on DVD....one of my favourite shows. They just don't have quality television comedies like this anymore.

I've never seen "Fawlty Towers" (not available here), but do watch "Are You Being Served?" every Saturday evening on the local PBS affiliate, along with several other BritComs.

In terms of hobby shop "characters," they could have cast Jummy Sutter on just about any of those shows (and that's meant as a compliment).
