They aren't going out of business- I was just there yesterday. They do have a nice variety of N thru G gauge trains and accessories, a good bit of that being 3 rail. Currently their Atlas (incl Tainman) cars are 25% off and have a variety of about 40 in stock. They have some original K-Line but mostly Lionel, RailKing, and Premier equipment. They occaisionally have 50% sales on stuff thats been sittin' round, dented box sales, yet some of their stock is MSRP. Probably worth the drive from Oakmont if you have the time and a cache of cash. You might want to call to make sure there is a "hobbies" person in before you make the trip as it is also a phamacy and crafts store also.

I don't know if Bob Barth is the only "hobbies person" (trains) that works at the pharmacy, but he only goes there on Wednesdays. At least that was true a month ago. They may have other "train persons" besides Bob, but Bob is the only one that I know. - walt |

I usually make it to Fairchance once a year in January,
on my way back from Deep Creek MD. |

It has been a couple of years since I've been there (I usually do my train shop visit road trips in the Summer). Do they still have a selection of Weaver?

Oops, yes they also have some Weaver cars, maybe 30 or so. Bob (great guy and service tech) is only there on Wednesdays. They have changed some personel, and there is usually someone there, but if you are travelling a distance you might want to verify.
