Can't post a picture of it but the module I own for the modular group I'm in has Shadow Rail track.

Here are a few pics. from my old layout. I wasn't taking pictures of the track, though. Hope this helps.

Thanks! pretty good looking track. Were you happy with it? Not much info on this track other than they don't make it anymore....

I was pretty happy with it. It's essentially Lionel tubular track on plastic ties. Was fairly easy to solder, the switches were smooth, and it looked pretty good ballasted. I went with Atlas on the new layout because the K-line was starting to get harder to find, not because I didn't like it. It's pretty good stuff.

I have a few pieces on my layout with my Lionel 0 track. I have just replaced all 18 of my Lionel 072 switches with K-Line(Lionel)072 snap switches and they are really working out very good for me. I would like to change out my track but it is hard to find that track. I really like what I have on the layout now.

Thanks

Just curious, why ask? As you said, it's hard to find and not being made anymore.

They still make the switches but not the track, especially the straights that are needed. A loss in a good market as far as I'm concerned.

But still wonder why you ask?

Could I interest you in an 8-Track player? Big Grin

If there is anyone interested, I have a fair amount of mostly new K line shaddow rail track that I'd sell if the buyer takes it all in one shot. Includes 4 / 072 and about 6 or 8 / 042 switches, I think about 6 boxes of 40" straights plus 10" straights, multiable diameter curves and uncoupling tracks.

I'd have to count and list it all but if someone is interested, let me know.

Earlier in the week I posted a Layout Progress video here on the forum. Check it out, the entire layout is k-line track (except a few switches).

Thanks for all your pics and opinions and thanks Thomas for the video. I like the looks of it and it seems pretty smooth running.

At least they did not make the mistake Lionel did with FT: It came in O-31. Lionel would make some money with FT if they did make an O-31 curve and switch, so older layouts could just drop in the FT track!
