This is an 8x14 layout. As with my others, designed with a toy train/display layout flair.

I included a fun take on a figure 8 for the inner loop: notice the double diamonds. The train can take a different route each time around the 8 with the remote switches automatically

O48 on the outside, O36 on the figure 8.

The accessories pictured are some of what I own, just to give an idea of the setup.

Very nice. I like the ideas that you used.

I know that I have been having too much fun with my Lionel trains when I see real life railroad tracks and wonder why the middle rail is missing.

Thank you.

Over the years I have designed about 115 layouts using RR track. Lionel, Lionel Super O, and Lionel Fastrack. 5x9 is the smallest, and I have one "dream" layout that's about 50x65 feet Smile

Here's a 12x12 I did awhile back and posted in the Yahoo Fastrack group:

Like your new layout with the crossovers. Did you know Marx made a signal accessory that would automatically run 2 trains on a figure eight?

I have seen something very similar in Joliet, Illinois with what use to be the old Rock Island tracks adjacent to the station. It is a dynamic picture.

Are you close to building either one? What type of layout do you currently have?

I would like to see more of your layouts for FasTrack AND Super "O". Do you have a website?

Very best,

Hey Mike,

I did not know about the Marx signals. That's cool.

No, I don't have a train website yet, but have been thinking of throwing something together so I can share my ideas with others.

My current layout is a 12x8 with a 4x4 extension (L shaped) using Fastrack.

Oddly, it's one I don't have a drawing for.

I also have a 5x9 Super O layout based on the D-264 using some of my (my dad's) original track and some I got from you Smile

We have a huge layout section on the FasTrack Yahoo Group, as you know. Why don't you list your FasTrack layouts there and the Super O layouts on the Super O Yahoo Group. As you know, they can be saved. One of the advantages of the Yahoo Groups is the ability to save for all to share.
