Hello folks,

A co-worker dropped by today to show me his 773 Hudson. He's not a train guy but was given his dad's set a few years ago. His dad took great care of the engine, tender, and pullmans. Still has all original boxes, including the set box. The paint and physical condition of the engine are great. What a nice distraction from work for a few minutes.

Now to the main point. This friend asked about a desktop display case that he could use to house the engine, tender and one car. I walked by at least a couple of manufacturers at York a couple of weeks ago but that's now water under the bridge.

Anyone know the name of the case maker that has roller bearings for the engine?

Thanks r/Tom

Another option is you can look at acrylic cases for 1/18 scale diecast cars.
I have an Ertl clear acrylic case that holds two 1/18 muscle cars. My particular case has a mirrored bottom. I bought it eight years ago for $28 new. It is 24-1/2" long x 7-1/2" deep x 5-1/2" high.

Being that it is meant for 1/18 cars, it is wider than needed for a train. With the extra room, he could make a scene in there.

Just an idea. Good luck with the search.
