How I missed a 13 (14!) page thread...anyway.

Are these going to be for sale outside of the pre-order group?

Thanks,

I think that Paul (VaGolfer1950) was maintaining a waiting list in case people backed out, so you may want to email him just in case.

Paul,
Be aware that there is alot of "SPOOF" Stuff floating around that looks like its from PayPal but it isn't. On more that 3 occasions I have had a similar incident happen to me. I usually forward anything that even "looks" like it comes from PayPal to spoof@paypal.com. And 9 times out of 10 the e-mail is fraudulent. E-mails that are "phishing" to steal your user info. I rarely ever get a communication from the Legit PP. Having over 450 ebay transactions I'm familiar with a lot of things people try to pull with spoof e-mails.

Jon,

I agree that we sometimes get email spoofs purportedly from Pay Pal as I have received them myself and I do not have a Pay Pal account.

In Paul's case he was notified by Pay Pal that his account had shown recent unusual activity which has happened as people started to send their payment into Pay Pal for the Natty Boh car.

After all of the phone conversations and time invested by Pay Pal I doubt that this was a "phising" expedition.

If someone had been spoofed they never would have gotten to talk to anyone.

When dealing with PayPal, just make sure you always, always type
the URL into the browser yourself. The spoofs are good, look
exactly like a PayPal message, and will have links on the page that
do go to PayPal (help, etc). However, you can be sure that
the bogus link will be something like

https://www.paypal.com.aaaaaaa...aaaaaa.somewhere.ru/

which will dump you at a hacker site in Russia.

Just type in https://www.paypal.com/ by hand in your browser
window, and you should be OK. If PayPal has disabled your
account for real, you'll know soon enough :-)

Same holds true for any link received via email. Don't assume
links received from friends are valid unless there is text
with the url that was obviously written by a friend. Your friend's
computer could have been hacked, and a good hack will process
their email and send messages to all addresses in the address book
in an attempt to net more hacked computers.

Another way to get to the legitimate Pay Pal site is to log onto ebay and use the link to Pay Pal.

IT's quite interesting that Atlas O has done the piggyback on production, esp this soon!. IT must be of Atlas O's good will and the unusually high publicity of this particular car. Wait til 2009 Xmas Ebay season! This car will probably go for some big $$! Big Grin

I like just about everyone have received numerous phising emails reported to be from Paypal. Heck today I got a real amateur one suppossedly from Bank of America and the From showed Bank Of America govusq@yahoo.com. LOL! Like any bank is going to use Yahoo email lmao! Click on a link in any of them and you are hosed. When I received the email from PayPal informing me that my account was frozen I knew it was legit as one it used my real name, and two it did not contain a link to log in through. I always go to Paypal from a shortcut I have saved in my links on my browser.

I get the Paypal phonies too even tho I don't have a paypal account, along with the Nigerian bank scams or the "only known relative" ones are the best. Apparently I'm the only known relative to someone named Myambitay Efoombu, even tho both my parent are still alive as are my 5 brothers and sisters, 9 aunts and uncles, 22 cousins and almost 30 of thier kids Roll Eyes

I wouldn't be too hard on the boy Paul. Most of the local discount liquor stores that carry Natty Boh only offer it in a 12 pack. Now what you need to do is ask the young man if he knew that two 12 packs equal a case.

I bet he did not do too well in math at school either! Smile

Hey Paul;

Perhaps we can coordinate a parking lot celebration with some Natty Boh in coolers for those who will be meeting with you to pick up their cars.

I'm sure that a few of us locals can come up with a few six packs or 12 packs to share a beer amongst the crowd who will be meeting locally.

We can kick this around some more when we set a date to meet to pick up our cars.

Well Natty Boh Gear has offered the store to meet to pass out the reefers, don't know how they are on consuming in the store but I will check, and since they are scheduled for delivery in May and the weather in B'more is great in May meeting in the parking lot at the Natty Boh Brewery is a good idea also. We'll kick it around when the date gets closer.

Paul;

That's good news about the Natty Boh Gear store offering their store to meet, how appropriate.

I'm sure that the parking lot would also be the appropriate place for us to share in the moment with an ice cold Natty Boh.

I emailed Chris at Miller Engineering to inquire about the possibility of a Natty Boh animated sign, citing the success of Paul's outstanding efforts in obtaining the production of the Natty Boh Reefer. Chris stated that they are still considering making the sign and that production will depend on the licensing terms. Chris authorized the posting of his response on the forum.

I spoke to Chris at Miller Engineering also to let him know just how much a response there was to the reefer to help in any decision on what signs to make. He was very interested in the overwhelming response on the reefer and I have emailed him the contact information on the person I dealt with from Natty Boh to get licensing.

On another note I was hoping that I would have a first production proof of the Natty Boh reefer to take to York but I have heard from Atlas that it will not be done in time for the York TCA meet. But I will have some cold Natty Boh in the trunk!

Steve I hope so too, however I can tell you that dealing with the guy at Natty Boh that is in charge of granting permission is a real execise in patience and frustration. I know for a fact the MTH negatiated with him for months as they wanted to do a National Boh reefer and gave up in frustration. Chris would love to make it he has said in conversations I have had with him on the Natty Boh sign, and he knows that with the response to the reefer and the fact the sign would be so cool looking he could sell them out, but it comes down to whether he can get permission and at a resonable royalty.
