Thanks "Eagel", I grew up in South West Philadelphia and much of that film was a walk down memory lane for me. I had to watch it three times. Wink

Great stuff. I found myself asking which track were they going to take several times. Croosing the bridge at Havre de Grace looked like fun Eek.....
It said that the current owner of these home movies bought these at a yard sale! Amazing that things can get a new life on You Tube !

MU Eagle, Many thanks for this journey back in time. I never rode on a train pulled by the great GGI. Today I have. On the 4th of July no less. Love the music.

That video shows why PRR was the STANDARD.

You say they're On The Water, I say they're Sur l'eau.

MUagle,

Thanks for the link and it couldn't have better music accompanying it. I 'discovered' my mom's Benny Goodman Carnegie Hall on 33 LP records back in 1955 or so when it was in the old RCA combo unit (TV, radio and phonograph in a heavy wooden cabinet with a storage area under the TV) down in the basement (next to the train layout). I 'think' I wore out the "Sing, Sing, Sing" track . At least, mom 'thought' I did. How was I to know there were limitations to how many times you could play a LP? Luckily, Dad replaced the boxed set before mom murdered me. Helps when you own the record shop when you need a replacement!

What am I playing on iTunes as I write this? You gotta ask?!?!? Opps, Benny just hit that high G (?) after his high C!

I believe the drummer was either Gene Krupa or cozy cole. Correct me if I am wrong. I think Cozy Cole was Duke's drummer. Super great video's.

Eddie,

Gene Krupa. Teddy Wilson and Lionel Hampton made up the other partners in the world's greatest big band quartet.
