I am interested in buying Lionel's Nickel Plate Road 2-8-4 Berkshire with TMCC (6-38610). Lionel Berkshire I like the fact that it has both Railsounds and TMCC.

For those of you that have this engine, what do you think of it? Is it similar in size and look to the Jr. Berk in the Polar Express set? How are the sounds and smoke output?

I used to own the PRR version so here are my thoughts:

1) It is the same size as the Berk in the Polar Express set though from what I remember it is more detailed.

2) Sounds were good and it smoked fine.

3) Ran great but without speed control you need to work the throttle when going up and down grades (if you have them).
