Ok, while not O gauge I just had to comment on this monster. After 2 years we are seeing gains in MTH's 1 gauge line. Featuring operating pantographs that raise and lower and twin motors and at 1/8th the price of the "late" (yes, at this point we have to assume that!)LGB and with PS/DCS it is quite a bargain. I have had 2 people who purchased one for display in their office even. With the Triplex due shortly we will see a new catalog soon that will feature a even larger expanded line. Some of the items like MTH has done in the HO line are already in production and will ship earlier than in the past! Speaking about HO MTH plans an announcment of a new engine once a month next year.
As we know the new catalog is due out in about 10 days. MTH has been quite quiet about what is in it. Even Tony has not got a peek. The gang at the secret "skunkworks" in MD,MI and China have been busy.

Hi, Charlie.

Forget the HO and One gauge stuff.

How about a really BIG SALE on O gauge stuff. If yes, I'll be there and you will even eat well.

I was at MTH HQ a few weeks ago and for the first time had an opportunity to take a long and very close look as well as operate both the G and HO models. Also had a peek inside each engine. They are very impressive, run smooth and sleek and sounds are awsome. I believe MTH will gain market share in each of these areas.

Lets see....

I will bet some of the new HO Scale models will be

1) Union Pacific die-cast Big Boy steam engine
2) Pennsylvania die-cast GG-1 electric
3) Alco PA diesel
4) Alco FA diesel
5) EMD F3 diesel (The Broadway tooling was a Joke)
6) EMD F7 diesel (The Broadway tooling was a Joke)
7) Union Pacific die-cast Challenger (hopefully this tender will be lighter than the Lionel Version.
8) Union Pacific die-cast Veranda Turbine

I know Athearn will get my sales for SD70ACE's

Charlie,

The "other" model you referenced was built by Aster of Japan. As far as "Late" goes you might want to speak to your Märklin sales rep. Wink
