Does anyone know when the latest order of the Atlas O articulated rail cars will be shipped to the dealers? I ordered one from the Atlas O website a couple weeks ago but all I know if it has not been shipped. I thought maybe some of you who buy a lot of Atlas product might have some inside info. Thanks!!

From their website, it looks like they shipped to Atlas on September 29, so they should be getting them in a few weeks to send out to dealers.

Hi CNJ77,

Thanks for the info!! Hopefully I'll receive the car in the next few weeks. I've seen them at a friend's house and can't wait to get mine. A huge improvement over the MTH auto carriers which was the only game in town til these Atlas O's came along. I don't consider the earlier Lionel auto carriers competitive even tho I have mostly Lionel stuff in my collection. I could never keep the end doors on any I owned.

Mine came in on Saturday and they are incredibly well done. I cannot wait to get them on the layout. Probably my favorite piece of rolling stock so far.

PICTURES ANYONE?

I like my MTH Auto Carriers but am interested in the Atlas ones as well. What is the length of the Atlas Auto Carriers?

Thanks so much.

Paul

The Atlas O autoracks are articulated and ths are longer than the MTH ones... BUT because they are articulated, the Atlas O will work on 072, 063,& 054 Radii the same as MTH but look way more realistic! Wink

PRR, don't the Atlas ones also have opening door ends too. The MTH ones do not.
