have a lionel ft with dual vertical can motors.its a great runner and a heavy unit and was made in china.

im sure some of you have this loco and are familiar with what they look like inside.

was wondering if anyone knows if their are other lionel diesel loco's with the very same type of VERTICAL can motors?

gp's or sd's?im looking for dual motored diesels but not the diesels with horizontal motors.

Almost ALL of the modern Lionel deisels have this set up. The ones that don't are usually the cheapies like the starter set RS-3's and ALCo FA's, or perhaps the higher-end ALCo S-2/4 (not sure about those).

Even some Lionel steam has verticle can motors, such as the LionMaster Challengers and T-1's.
