I was given a WP F3 2345 that has a broken rear step that is staked to the frame. Is there a preferred way to remove the remaining piece with out breaking off the peg holding the steps on?

Another method recommended by Dr.Tinker is to cut the broken step off as close as you can get to the chassis stubb with a saw of some sort. This lets you pull it off without damage to the stubb. What I did with one of mine was use a dremel wheel to remove the staked over part of the stub and I reinstalled mine with screws.
