One of the complaints of the new MTH RS3 was the omission of the cab figures even though it was shown in the catalog.

I experimented with my older RS3. I notched out the cab and glued in a picture of a cab interior and the engineer and fireman. It looks better than the orange nothingness.

That is a good idea- I never thought of addining a photo of an interior. This would be good for a Williams GP38 where the motor is almost touching the front window. I put a Lionel interior in my GP38 to cover the motor and add figures. But, a photo behind and between the figures would look really good.
Thanks for the idea.

I now completed my newer RS3. This time I did not notch out the cab. I took the figures and sanded them down on my bench sander to fit into the space.

Who made the figures, Don?

I have a new Atlas RS3 that could use a crew.
