A great lamp car would be the K-line rotating Coca-cola bottle car. Instead of a Coke bottle, you would have a rotating illuminated leg. The car would be lettered "F R A G I L E" of course.

All great ideas posted here. My two cents: A Lionel (Lionel was the big guy on the block in 1947, as seen in the opening scene) Berk or Pre War streamline set with Ralphie's face on one of the cars, followed by the Old Man, Mom, Randy, and Scott Farcus. If Lionel could price this set for under $400.00 it could be a big seller, at least with us old guys.

There were Hallmark Ornaments made based on items and scenes in the movie. Those could be added to a layout for the set to add to the energy.


What about modeling the town where the movie was shot?
