Williams SP SD 35 engine (conventional) MTH DCS Katy AS 616 On the same track running at the same time Running around 9.5V williams is fast , I had to put Katy up to 70 to keep it even. All dcs features work engine speed sound control smoke direction switched accessory all thru dcs.
Conventional engine control is thru Z4000 throttle , horn bell & direction work thru key pad.
The only real challenge is that conventional engines run a lot faster than dcs I usually run them at 15-29 scale mph
This is like my other video since all my tracks are connected but this is on 1 track,
I too have run that way. What I did to get the speed slower was to have the Z4000 at 15 volts and I weighed down my 681 with cars so that it was not going too fast and then I used the DCS controller to match the speed of the PW engine for the command engine. Its fun when you think that you have toys running on the same loop that were created more than 50 years apart.
