Over on YouTube there's a nice print of a Gumby episode with some Marx train action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNRHzAUdYVI Gumbyphiles will note that the music cues were restored to the ones from the 50's, and aren't the crummy synthesizer cues that replaced them in the 80's...

The scary part is that I actually remember that episode.

Thank you for posting that MTN - that was extremely charming!

Lots of neat old toys in those - mainly Marx when it comes to trains, although I'd swear one of the episodes had a Flyer PA in it.

When I read the title, I must admit that I thought that it meant that Gumby was constructed with red clay (a Soviet version perhaps?)

Hi - nope - those would be the Block Heads - or is that the (Soviet) Bloc Heads?

Good stuff. Clokie Productions did a good job on those Gumby shows. It brings back some good memories of the 1960's when I was a kid.
