That set looks really nice. If I didn't already have the BN Coal set I might get it.

I also have the BN coal set (my favorite set) and was thinking about getting the CN coal train. Can't get enough of those bathtub gondolas!

Would love to see pictures.

I got my CN Coal set from Trainz on Thursday.
The SD70M loco has only a few minor changes from SD70ACe.
The horn is a higher pitch and I think much more realistic.
The 6 gondolas are big, but not too heavy, and there are different car numbers. They have one rotary coupler per car. They do not come with the coal load, so mine are empty for now. You will have to decide if you want to buy the coal load or the loose coal from the catalog.

How are the wheel flanges on the SD70? Are they large?

Good Day Gentlemen,

When time permits can you please check the flanged wheels? Are wheels the same as the UP Heritage SD70ACe? Can you post pictures of the wheels?

Regards,
Swafford

While we wait for an answer from someone who has received the new set I can tell you that the SD70M that Lionel had on display at York had a different looking wheelset from the SD70ACe's. I can't tell you about the flange depth but the sidewalls were not the 'wide' ones that Lionel has used on diesels for the last several years. They looked like normal diesel wheels that Lionel used to use, and other manufacturers still use.
