What is the part number for the voltage suppressor that is used to limit voltage spikes on the track ?

What you want is a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor).
Best one seems to be 576-1.5KE36CA.
Availabe from Mouser Electronics for about 35 cents a piecs.
