This is a real nice model, I have one in my collection, it fits on 3-rail track. Great scenery piece.

I was just looking at that model yesterday and ordered one. It's an interesting coincidence that this thread would show up today.

Even more weird, I put the post up yesterday. Love the model, I display mine on a Sword Peterbilt 379 with Nelson ramp trailer.

They say that some of the features operate. I assume that they mean that those items can be moved around a bit, but not that the model operates by remote control, right?

It's on back order at the above store. I ordered mine from 3000toys and just got an email saying it was out of stock there as well so I'm getting a refund. I'm checking with DieCastDirect.com now via email. Any other sources I should try?

Hi
The link above was for an Ebayer in CA. Prices for the buy it now items are 5-10 higher than 3000 toys.... i'd wait for them to get restocked. There is a Norscot version, no track wheels though.

3000toys had it for $85 so the eBay price isn't that much higher.

It's official. Frown No one has this in stock. I even bought the eBay one above and I was told today that his distributor showed it in stock but it is on back-order. I'm getting a refund. I'll keep searching!

Then you probably won't like theses!! Big Grin Big Grin

The swing boom lets the excavator sit on the tracks and dig parallel to the tracks without pulling your dirt to the tracks.

Notice how the white hats are always throwing the arms in the air getting excited!!

Even for a somewhat compact machine still looks like a good load on a truck.

I just wanted to update this thread as I heard some additional info. One of the places I tried to order this from said their US distributor informed them that these models would not be be available in the US until after Chirstmas/January 2010. It is sold out everywhere as most places are getting this item directly from the distributor.

Thanks for the email and tip on this place. I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they really do have one. They other places said they had it as well but that was because their distributor said it was in stock. When they went to fulfill the order with them, the distributor said oops, out of stock until 2010. If they physically have one of these on hand, then all should be OK. We'll see. Smile

Haha, wow, I seriously JUST got off the phone with them. They claimed to have several physically on hand and said one will ship out to me via UPS tomorrow. After the trouble I had finding one, I'll still be suspect until it is in my hands. Smile Thanks for the heads up!
