Thanks, guys,
I purchased 3 from one Wal-Green in Manassas and then picked up 4 sets in nearby Gainesville, Va.'s Wal-Green.
The store is not very helpful. In fact, they didn't even know they carried them. I found the first sets way up high over the cosmetics section and had to jump up to get them (I'm 71" tall). In the second store, same thing, they didn't even know they had them and these were buried under the pharmacy pill section.
Seems there's no one section for toys in Wal-Green and you have to do a real hunt to find them.
I checked 2 other Wal-greens and couldn't find any. So 2 out of 4 aint bad. They might have been hidden as well.
Oh, btw, they run well but IMO need some weight added to them to run better for traction. The couplers are link and pin and are somewhat difficult to couple and uncouple, but hey, I ain't complaining.
Also, they take just 2 AA batteries. I'm using rechargeables.
You can ask your Wal-Green manager but mine wasn't helpful at all.
I checked other stores like Toy R Us, Target, Lowe's, HD, Wal-Mart, CVS, Rite-Aid, Cosco, etc etc, and it appears that ONLY Wal-Green has these. They are made by Gold-Loc.
The other stores, btw, have the overpriced Western Express series that uses the bigger batteries. They cost about $30, which is way too much money to pay for a train set.
