My wife's dad retired from REA and wore the logo with the large X so I found the operating reefer that smokes and unloads. I showed it to her tonight and she seemed to enjoy it. I'm trying to get her to get me some mega steam peach scent since we live in GA so everytime it operates we can smell GA peaches. Are there anny other good operating cars from other years?

You can find them in a few different liveries. I have a PRR and Hoods operating reefers, a log dump, and the caboose and love 'em!

MTH makes great "dump" cars. The action is slow and smooth. Since I'm mainly interested in passenger cars, the few frieght cars I have are all animated.

I recently discovered the MTH log dump cars. They look very nice. I am planning on ordering one in Ann Arbor and pre-ordering the two PRR road numbers from Jim.

MTH also made some neat operating coal cars. When activated the coal level starts lowering. I don't own any but I have seen them on YouTube.

The Helicopter Launch car is AWESOME!!! MUCH better than Lionel's earlier attempt.

MTH has made it in several theme/logos through the years.

We used to demonstrate it here at the store to the never-ending delight of the kids...until a customer INSISTED on buying our last one. Hopefully MTH will run it again in the near future.
