I just got an amazing Blu-ray DVD called HD moods, Trains. I has everything from the Challenger going 70 mph through Nebraska to Nickel Plate #765 through Indiana to a narrow gauge freight and much more. No narration, just sound. My only complaint is the sound. It's just two channel stereo. Wish they would have done it in 5.1 surround. These pictures are right off my 65 inch plasma. Check it out. Don

Scale Rail,
Where did you get the DVD? I think that there is no other way to go then Blu-Ray. You can tell from your pics how sharp HD is. I'd especially be interested in the Challenger portion since I have the MTH Gauge 1 Western Maryland Challenger.
Thanks in advance,

Harry

Put a fog machine in the living room while you watch it so you get an even more realistic experience. Smile

Scale Rail ... you sure there is no 5.1 or true stereo sound on that disc ?? I don't know of a Blu Ray that lacks a form of digital sound ...Check the setup menu ...

I just watched this last night and it is excellent for the money! Great shots of 765, 844, 3985, D&S, C&R, WP&Y. You have three soundtrack options:

1. Train sound only
2. Music only
3. Combined train and music.

There is no narration.

Some chapters have subjects interleaved, e.g. 844, then 765, then 3985, then 844 again. Great stuff for $8.99 at Amazon.

Just viewed mine & agree it's terrific, as Blu-ray should be. Also, the Blu-ray "Scenic National Parks: Great Train Rides" shows how great our country is. Wish my screen was as big as my wall. Terrific scenery.
Thanks again for the heads-up.

I finally got to watch this DVD today, the first shot is of the 844, I quickly realized it was not only in Utah but that it was shot while I was in the 844 cab!

There is a shot later that has me leaning out the engineer side (I know its me only because of what I was wearing, can't see my face)

So for 9 bucks not only did I get a cool video, I have a souvenir of my cab ride.
