A year or two back, I thought I saw someone posted a picture of a Polar Express layout that had the helix mountain and also "Flattop tunnel" that was done really well. Anyone know where I can find this? Thanks, Mike

Last year there was a dealer at the Fort Pitt TCA meet that had this type of layout, It was very nice. Maybe someone knows who he is?

What I remember about this layout is that it was the only layout recreation of the movie I have seen that had the "Flattop" Tunnel...the one that looks like you are going into an ice monsters mouth.. right before the boy falls into the tender and rolls down to the cab of the engine.

I remember two outstanding Polar Express Layouts from last year.

TW Design did the first:

Another was on YouTube:

I would be willing to bet that dealer was Len's Train Shop in Irwin, PA (actually he is located between Rillton and Sutersville). It can be seen in his shop when he is not displaying it at shows, meets or fund-raising events for the local fire department. He also has a nice, new display layout in his shop that is nearing completion.

His PE layout is pretty clever in its design and has to be seen in operation to really appreciate it.

I think the TW design is the one I was looking for. Anyone have any more pictures of that payout?

This is the only photo of that layout on the TWDesign website.

IIRC, the layout in question was being made by a forum member. It was made from foam, and was being built in a garage.
