In previously years members of the forum met at the "Hamilton Family Restaurant", 2027 W Hamilton St, Allentown, PA. Breakfast was around 6:30 AM. You will find many TCA members there. Maybe Chuck (Alentown) will comment about this upcoming meeting.
Unfortunately, I will not be attending this time around. Bill TCA #00-53290 My YouTube Videos My Model Railroading Web Site (Island Valley Railroad) Western Reserve Modular Railroad Club Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association National Packard Museum |

Hi Aric If you would like to set a time to meet at the OGR booth ( very easy to find ) I would be happy to sign for you. I will be there on Saturday. I will also be attending the breakfast that Bill mentioned above and you are most welcome there. The restaurant is only one block from the fairgrounds and a group of us meet there at about 6:30AM for breakfast. You let me know what is the best arrangement for you and we will get you in the TCA Enjoy Frank |

Too far for me to travel almost 500 miles. But I have a question. Don't you see the same things there that you saw at York 3 weeks ago?

Yes, but not always. There are some folks that only sell at Allentown, just like there are some that only come to Springfield. Allentown is a very nice show that is a lot of fun and it is only a bit more then an hour drive for me. Plus we have the OGR forum breakfast which my daughter and I enjoy very much. Believe me if you were less then 100 miles from this show you would go three weeks after York as well Enjoy Frank |

Aric,
As mentioned before you could show up for breakfast and be done with it. There is usually a group forum photo taken at the OGR booth about 11:00 AM so if all else fails be there then and it wil get done. Owen |

Going to try my best to get there. I live in Philly so it's not too far a ride.

After the York meet my wife and I went to visit my aunt in DE, as we usually do. On the morning we were leaving I was carrying stuff down the stairs from the second floor to the first, and missed a step. The next thing I know I hit the floor at the bottom of the steps. Luckily my glasses took the blunt of the impact. I ended up with a small cut on my forehead and a large cut below my right eye brow. The frame of my glasses were bent out of shape. I managed to get my glasses fixed enough to drive home. There was not much swelling a first, but by the time I got home, six hours later, my eye and nose was in pretty bad shape. After a few x-rays and a cat-scan, the results showed that I did not break my nose, but had a fractured nasal cavity and also a fracture of the orbit (eye socket) below the right eyebrow. No surgery was required. A few visits to the eye doctor showed no damage to the eye, but I still have a little blurred vision, that is slowly going away. All the swelling and bruising is gone now, but I just don't feel like traveling at this time. Note: These were the same steps my wife fell down in April. She ended up with a lot of bruises and a broken right wrist. Hi Bill, Geeze you look a mess, Thank God it was not more serious. I think those stairs have it out for you two. Perhaps some new carpet is needed on them to make them happy or something........... Glad that you are feeling better. We will miss you in PA. Be careful and keep safe, and we will see you in the spring Enjoy Frank |

I think you better stop visiting your aunt. Maybe she is actually trying to get you to stop bothering her.

Bill,
OUCH! That looks like it really smarted! I took a tumble earlier this summer and fractured a rib and my wrist, so I can sympathize with you. So stay home, mend, and stay away from those stairs! They are definitely out to get you and yours! We will miss you at Allentown, though. Chris LVHR |

Bill, Frank, Owen, Greg - thanks for your replies; I'm going to do "one-stop shopping" for the signatures and add my name to Alentown's breakfast list thread. Bill, take care, and hope to meet you in the spring. Looking forward to meeting the rest of you on Saturday morning!
