Hello:

I want to replace the floors on some 21" Texas Special cars from lionel, and add new floors with better underbody detail. I have removed then car ends and tried to slide the floors out, as this looks like the intent from the assembly.

They seem to be very tight fitting and will not slide out. Are they glued in to the car body? Or is the car body trying to spring back in to the cL and making it tight?

Looking for answers.

Perhaps a little WD-40?

The body is springing back, as is also the case with the K-Line 21"
as well..

I have found best way is to have another person, SLIGHTLY open both
sides of the body and gently slide the floor/frame out..

Light lub or grease in the frames when reinstalling helps...

Others may have a better solution..
