Hello, I am installing TMCC and the Cruisecommander M in a old style 4-6-0 , it is a small loco and there fore I am putting the motherboard in a box car behind the tender.
I am using a motherboard from a C420 TMCC diesel, I need to do this because there is no room for a flywheel reader, thus the Electric RR cruise commander M.

My problem is on Lionel Steamers with TMCC the R2LC plugs into a separate board up in the engine and the other 2 boards are on a motherboard in the tender. For my install I need a motherboard to connect all 3 , R2LC, power board , and the Steamsounds , I have the motherboard and all is well but where can I splice in the chuff switch, I know one lead goes to ground , anyone know where to tap in the other wire ? Being the R2LC is in the loco on a mother board I would think that the chuff switch up in the loco that plugs on to that board , either goes to a pin on the R2LC or goes thru a wire connection back to the tender and onto a pin on that mother board any help would be great.

Thanks Bernie

I thought add on TMCC like the cruise commander used software to control the chuff. If so, you don't need the chuff switch.

Pin 17 on the R2LC board. When grounded the R2LC will generate a chuff command.

EOB chuffs are generated in the firmware, but I don't think Cruise Commander does this.
